June 2021 Update

Updated: Jul 3, 2021

The Democratic Party is busy here in Santa Rosa County and we’d love for you to continue being a part of our efforts. Here’s how you can get involved this month.

Voter Outreach Initiative

We are continuing our major outreach initiative for 2021, with the goal of connecting with as many Democrats and NPAs as possible in order to better understand the issues that are most important to our voters, and to ensure that people are ready to vote in the all-important 2022 elections.

If you’d like to participate in these efforts, please reply to let us know. The more volunteers we have, the more voters we can reach and the better we’ll perform in 2022.

One simple and powerful way to help is through a financial contribution. Postcards, stamps, and door hangers all cost money, and to be honest that is the biggest limiting factor right now in terms of the number of people we can reach.

If you can afford it, even a small contribution towards our efforts would go a long way. And if you can make it a monthly contribution, even if it’s only $5-$10 per month, you would be providing us with reliable income that will make it easier for us to plan ahead.

Thank you.

Monthly Meeting

Our next monthly meeting is Thursday, June 17 at 6pm. We would love for you to join us, add your input, and learn more about how you can get involved. You can register for the meeting here: https://www.mobilize.us/santarosacountydems/event/373146.

You are also welcome to attend any of our other local Democratic meetings:

  • The Democratic Black Caucus is meeting on Thursday, June 10 at 6pm. For more information, please contact Desi Lee at santarosadbc@gmail.com.

  • The Democratic Women’s Club is meeting on Monday, June 28 at 1pm. It will be held in person at the outside gazebo of the St. Augustine Episcopal Church of Navarre. For more information, please contact Cecilia Newman at 850-450-7518 or cjn.santarosademocraticwomen@gmail.com.

COVID Vaccinations

Everyone age 12 and up is now eligible to receive a COVID vaccine in the state of Florida. You can register and check your status at https://myvaccine.fl.gov.

The CDC is also doing a great job of keeping their guidelines up to date, and you can find all of that information here: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.

Thank You

Thank you for all that you are doing. We know that this continues to be a difficult time for everyone and we genuinely appreciate all of your efforts.

If you have any feedback or questions for us, you can reach us at 850-396-1935 or santarosadems@gmail.com. We will always be happy to hear from you.

In the meantime, stay safe and have a great week!

Matt Becker Chair, Santa Rosa Democrats
