SANTA ROSA COUNTY, FL -- To no one’s surprise, America’s Vice President, Kamala Harris, just as poised and patriotic as she has ever been, stood before Congress, certified the 2024 Presidential election, and presided over the ceremonial peaceful transfer of power, to a criminal, scheduled to be sentenced in 4 days for felony crimes leading up to the 2016 Presidential Election.
“Many of us volunteered countless hours in an effort to avoid the transition of America’s Executive Branch into the hands of a convicted criminal who led an attempt to overthrow the government 4 years ago, but here we are,” said B.J. Brunious Chair of the Santa Rosa County Democratic Party.
What we know is that today was different from January 6, 2021, both in tenor and tone. Democrats led the transition with dignity and respected the will of voters across the nation.
Inauguration Day is January 20, 2025, Martin Luther King, Jr Day. The irony is not lost on us that we will gather to celebrate a legend known for uniting Americans, while simultaneously swearing in a law breaker who ascended to power on a platform of racial division. We encourage all residents to join us in an effort to strengthen our neighborhoods, fight to preserve our wetlands, protect our groundwater, and send the wealthy developers with a one way ticket out of Santa Rosa County.
